The existing rates of Gurkha Retirement Pension,Gurkha Service Pension, Gurkha Disability Pension and Gurkha Family Pension have been revised with effect from 1 April 2015.

With effect from 1 Apr 15 there will be an increase in pensions paid through the GPS of 7% to take account of cost of living increases in Nepal. This increase is in line with existing policy based on the Rastra Bank figure for inflation in Nepal. This increase ensures that Gurkha pensions are kept at a fair and appropriate level and demonstrates the UK Government’s continuing commitments to the GPS.
