Immigration Road-show at Sir John Moore Barracks, Shorncliffe

As per Brigade of Gurkhas Transition forecast, Army Secretary and HQBG in conjunction with the Home Office, have run bespoke Immigration road-show on 16 September 2013 at Sir John Moore Barracks, Shorncliffe to ensure that the Service Leavers (SL) are fully understood on the Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) process and timelines. The Immigration Brief has covered all aspects of ILR procedure inclusive of the new family migration rules that the Armed Forces community will comply from 01 December 2013. Also, a team from Regular Force Employment Association (RFEA) came to deliver a presentation in order provide their support to the SL. A total of 59 SL attended the event and was noted as a huge success.
