Wreath laying ceremony at Gurkha Statue

The Chief of the Army Staff Nepalese Army, General Gaurav SJB Rana, inspected a Guard of Honour provided by the Queen’s Gurkha Engineers and laid a wreath at the Gurkha Statue in a short military ceremony at Horse Guards Avenue on Monday 09 September 2013.  The Chief of the Nepalese Army arrived at Horse Guards Avenue at 0945 hours where he was met by the Chief of the General Staff/Colonel Commandant Brigade of Gurkhas, General Sir Peter Wall GCB CBE ADC Gen and Colonel Brigade of Gurkhas, Colonel James Robinson. General Gaurav SJB Rana received a General Salute and was invited to inspect the Guard of Honour before laying a wreath at the Gurkha Statue. This event was organised by Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas to mark the visit of the Chief of the Nepalese Army who is here on a week-long visit at the invitation of the Chief of the General Staff/Colonel Commandant Brigade of Gurkhas, General Sir Peter Wall GCB CBE ADC Gen.
