15 Squadron Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment made history by competing in the 13 Air Assault Support Regiment Inter-Sqn Boxing competition for the very first time.
The soldiers took part in six weeks of intense and gruelling training sessions under the supervision of seasoned boxing coaches Corporal Shiva Dura and Corporal Kishor Thapa. The team of 13 highly motivated soldiers managed to compete in six different weight categories and won the Lightweight and Light Middleweight belts. Furthermore, Private Daniel Magar and Private Ankit Chhetri were selected for the Regimental Boxing Team, and Corporal Shiva Dura as the Regimental boxing coach for the upcoming competitions.
