14th Annual Gurkha Festival of Music

11th June 2013

The Band of The Brigade of Gurkhas proudly presented the 14th Annual Gurkha Festival of Music in aid of the Gurkha Welfare Trust. The festival took place between 4 to 6 April 2013 at The Duke of York’s Royal Military School, Dover, Kent.

This year the Brigade Band was supported by the Pipes and Drum of the 1st Battalion the Royal Gurkha Rifles, Fanfare Teams from across the British Army, dancers from the Folkestone Nepalese Community, singer Mrs Sumi Rai from Aldershot, the Typical Hill Boys group, the Shorncliffe Military Wives Choir and the Gurkha Children Choir.

Audience numbers for this musical extravaganza continue to grow annually, demonstrating the popularity and success of the event.

The Brigade looks forward to producing an even bigger event next year.
