Eligibility Guideline

The eligibility criteria is underpinned by a Special Registration Agreement or SRA. This provides a guide to the agreed mapping between Royal Corps of Signals’ training, education, expected experience at rank and trade levels, and the Engineering Council professional registration levels.

Please note that all applications for CEng/IEng are subject to review and comment by the Royal Signals SRA panel in order to obtain endorsement. The Royal Signals SRA panel, in consultation with the IET, will seek to review all applications which fall outside the eligibility criteria, based on the evidence of engineering competence. This means that even if you do not meet the above eligibility criteria, your application can still be considered by the panel.
