The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles Recruit Intake 22 (RI22) Kasam Khane (Attestation) Parade was held on the 20th of January 2023 at Sir John Moore Barracks.
39 Gurkhas from Recruit Intake 22 took an oath touching The Queen’s Truncheon. They completed their 39 week basic training in Catterick in December 2022.
The Commanding Officer (2 RGR) was the reviewing officer for the parade.
They will now begin an induction and training period as they join their companies in the Battalion and prepare for operations and exercises with the Battalion who are based in Shorncliffe.
