This year the Infantry Battle School managed to celebrate the 26th RGR Birthday with full spirit, but slightly different than usual approach due to COVID-19 restrictions.
There were some interesting activities which were enjoyed by all personnel who were present. It started with the Commanding Officer’s farewell followed by a welcome, farewell and congratulation program ending with a cake cutting ceremony.
It was well managed and well-executed. Social distancing and COVID directions were well adhered by all personnel and families who were present on the day. Compared to the previous 25th RGR Birthday the numbers of attendees were low and the whole program lasted about 4 hours. However, everyone seemed to have a great time as it was our first social gathering post lockdown.
“Miracle do happen, but someone has to work hard”, that is precisely what was demonstrated by Corporal Nabin Pahim Limbu The First Battalion The Royal Gurkha Rifles, and his team under the direction of the Officer Commanding Major Prembahadur Gurung MBE.
