BRIGADE CULTURAL AND LANGUAGE TEAM – COURSES UPDATE

Revised course timings for BCLT Courses due to the impact of CV19

• The NCLFC (foundation course) which was scheduled over the period (18th – 29th May 2020) is postponed until 20th – 31st July 2020.

• We aim to reconvene the SNLC (No 19/0110/19/02 ) in RMAS, to complete their training over the period 18th – 29th May 2020.  BCLT will issue Joining Instructions for July course before Easter Leave.

Issues

• NCFLC – the course scheduled in May is hugely undersubscribed (total three students) hence the requirement for postponement.  This is replaced by the SNLC which makes practical sense under the current circumstances.

• SNLC – the planned dates will hopeful allow the 2 students who are still in Nepal, to recover to the UK, reset and to join the balance of the course.

• Both courses will be residential at RMAS and are contingent on facilities being available for use; of course based on the guidelines that will be in place at the time relating to CV19.

• A go/no go decision will be made on Friday 1st May 2020 for the reconvening (May) SNLC.

• Both courses will be delivered without impact on other BCLT outputs.
