British Army and Nepali Army meet in Nepal

The Military Assessment Team (Nepal) of the British Army held an engagement with the Nepali Army on Tuesday the 8th of June 2021. The interaction focused on exchanging knowledge on how each Army has been contributing to its country’s fight against Covid-19 and seeking ways to optimise the age-old cooperation between the two Armies in the present situation.

Former Commander British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) Colonel Richard Goodman MBE led the engagement in his role as the Defence Attaché to Nepal while Deputy Commander BGN Lieutenant Colonel Simon Townsend attended the meeting as the in-country team lead.

Representing the Nepali side in the meeting were Chair Crisis Management Coordination Centre Major General Ananda Adhikari and his team, and Major General Devendra Bahadur Khatri from the Nepali Army Medical Corps.
