The Commandant Defence College of Logistics, Policing and Administration, Brigadier S J Shirley MBE, presented a commendation to Warrant Officer Class Two Yambahadur Gurung (Royal Gurkha Rifles) on Thursday, 6th December 2018 at Worthy Down. He was awarded this for dedication, diligence and invaluable support to Defence School of Logistics.
Background
On completion of the appointment of Regimental Quarter Master Sergeant (RQMS) Technical and Maintenance in 1 Royal Gurkha Rifles, he was selected for Senior Service and Continuity Post (SSCP) and assumed the appointment as RQMS Instructor at Supply Training Wing, Defence School of Logistics in September 2014.
He had a challenging four years as an Instructor responsible to instruct All Arms RQMS and Independent Company Quarter Master Sergeant (CQMS), All Arms CQMS and All Arms Stores Accountant Courses. He was responsible for Instruction, Maintenance of Lesson Plans and the Health & Safety Advisor in the All Arms environment.
He was also the focal point for Gurkha students attending courses at Defence School of Logistics.
