Twenty-four personnel from 10 Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment (QOGLR) are currently deployed in Estonia on an exercise to provide logistic support to the 1 Royal Welsh and 2 Rifles deployed to showcase Enhance Forward Presence as part of the NATO deterrence deployment.

The team took the opportunity to take part in the Danish Contingent (Dancon) March which has been a tradition with the Danish Defence since 1972 when the Royal Danish Army was deployed in Cyprus.

The march is globally recognised and takes place in many countries around the world and the Danish troops have always invited their allies to join them at each event. The DANCON march goes beyond just showcasing physical strength. It strengthens partnerships and allows the Danish National Support Element to support a good cause while encouraging team morale.

The Danish National Support Element hosted the Dancon March at Tapa Camp, Estonia. Participants had 6hrs to complete the 25km ruck march while carrying a total weight of at least 10kg to earn the DANCON March medal.
