The Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment recently celebrated the graduation of those who successfully passed the Defence Chef Basic Course at Worthy Down.
Commander QOGLR visited with the Gurkha Major, Gurkha Adjutant and Regimental Sergeant Major to Barton Stacey Training Area, hosted by the Food Services Training Wing.
This course over 14 weeks, teaches the Chefs foundation culinary skills that are required to support the Field Army through theory and practical lessons.
All 14 soldiers from the QOGLR graduated with qualifications for their future careers.
The best student was Private Ashis Sunuwar, who was awarded the Commanding Officer’s coin for outstanding performance.
