The Band welcomed the General in the traditional unique Gurkha Band manner. The Fanfare team performed ‘ARRIVAL’ particularly written to him by the Director of Music, Captain S. O’Neill and a traditional Khada was presented by the Assistant Director of Music Captain Basudev Gurung.
The Band is tasked centrally and it is important that the senior staff such as the General are aware of the Band’s musical capabilities, management and current issues. It is also a key moment for the band to impress, as they always do around the world.
