Congratulations to Sergeant Dibesh Lama, British Gurkhas Pokhara (BGP) MT Sergeant who recently received the General Officer Commanding Regional Command Commendation for his professionalism, dedication and excellent work in British Gurkhas Nepal.
Besides his primary role, Sergeant Dibesh Lama has led and chaired BGP sustainability committee with the underlying aims of achieving sustainable procurement, environmental education, and movement towards a plastic-free camp. In under nine months he has achieved a plastic free camp with drinking water readily supplied via efficient dispensers for all to use freely in place of plastic bottles. This has set a clear example to the local community and supports HMG global efforts for sustainability.
