GSPS Kasam Khane/ Commissioning Parade and Ladies Dinner Night 2021. Held at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) on the 26th of November 2021. This historic event (as part of 10th Anniversary) was attended by the GSPS members and their families from across the UK.
Kasam Khane/ Commissioning Parade. 14 soldiers and 2 officers commissioned. A fantastic parade, marching off to the march of the GSPS Regimental March ‘Bir Gorkhali’. This was the first time was performed on this parade.
The Officers/SNCOs’ Ladies Dinner Night. Held at the Indian Army Memorial Room, Old College RMAS with the GSPS ladies and distinguished guests; Colonel A D Griffiths OBE (Colonel GSPS), Colonel David Robinson (Colonel Brigade of Gurkhas), Lieutenant Colonel Mick Street (Army Headquarters), Major AJ Henry (APC Glasgow) and Warrant Officer Class One A Heron (Corps Sergeant Major AGC). Major Jit Hamal (OC|SO2 GSPS) welcomed the guests and GSPS Pariwar, and thanked everyone for their vital support and excellent contribution to the betterment of GSPS.
Two inspiring individuals were awarded the Soldier of the YearCorporal Bishwajit Rai and Sgt Munesh Ghale Senior Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year, in recognition of their exceptional service (whilst serving with 1RGR) consistently setting the example in the relentless pursuit of excellence by upholding the GSPS Ethos and the Army Leadership Code.
