The GSPS SOYA 2021 is awarded to Corporal Bishwajit Rai, currently serving with The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles.
Gurkha Staff and Personnel Support Soldier of the Year Award (GSPS SOYA) formally recognises the best soldier (between the ranks of Private and Corporal) who has consistently achieved excellence (both professionally and personally) by upholding the GSPS ethos and inspiring others as a junior leader and role model, thus bringing the cap-badge and the Gurkha brand to the limelight.
