Gurkha VC visits HQBG and Museum

11th November 2014

Rambahadur Limbu VC, MVO continued his tour of the Brigade this week with a visit to the new HQBG location at RMA Sandhurst followed by a visit to the Gurkha Museum in Winchester.

He was welcomed to HQBG by Colonel BG, Col James Robinson, along with the rest of the HQ staff before a photo outside of the FASC building at Sandhurst. A short tour, team introduction and briefing was followed by a welcome and lunch at Gurkha Company Sittang before heading off to the Museum.

The Museum visit included a chance for Rambahadur to see the display dedicated to his VC actions as well as the portraits of all Gurkha VC holders before the trustees, employees and members of the Museum had a chance to meet him over tea and coffee.

He will receive a Guard of Honour welcome at 2RGR’s barracks in Shorncliffe tomorrow to speak with the troops, and lay a wreath at the RGR Memorial.
