Gurkhas At Imjim Barracks receive their Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medals

Gurkha Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Support Battalion received their Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medals

Soldiers from the Gurkha Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Support Battalion have received their Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medals during a parade at Imjin Barracks, Gloucester on the 1st July 2022.

The reviewing officer was Major General Kevin Copsey OBE, Chief of Staff for HQ Allied Rapid Reaction Corps (ARRC).

Major Geneneral Copsey was joined by Brigadier Lord Mark Lancaster TD, Deputy Colonel Commandant Brigade of Gurkhas and Brigadier Philip Muir MBE, Commander of 1 (UK) Signals Brigade, Royal Corps of Signals to hand out the medals to the officers and soldiers from the battalion.

The Chief of Staff also awarded two Long Service and Good Conduct Medals (LSGC) and a Meritorious Service Medal (MSM). The musical accompaniment for the parade was provided by The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas.
