Gurkhas excel on Exercise JOINT CATERER

Exercise JOINT CATERER, the flagship competition for Armed Forces chefs and catering teams, took place on the 15th March at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham. It is a showcase of skills and challenges at the highest level, demonstrating the role military caterers play in the delivery of an effective Armed Forces and how they support operational commanders, thus contributing to the moral component of fighting power.

Once again, chefs from across the Brigade of Gurkhas demonstrated their outstanding culinary skills, winning numerous golds, silvers and bronzes in various categories.

The Chef trade is part of the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment roles and this regiment plays a key part in the logistics side of the Army, working alongside other soldiers from the Royal Logistic Corps.

A huge well done to our chefs that competed, and those who mentored them – a truly brilliant performance by all.
