The teams from 2 RGR and 10 QOGLR are setting a record as it is the first time two Gurkha teams have made it into the last four of the competition in what is a fast emerging sport for the Brigade.

Last year, 10QOGLR beat 2RGR in a friendly and so revenge is being sought, but 2RGR are the favourites having beaten various strong Artillery Regiments, while QOGLR have overcome 13RLC, 3 Sig Regiment and the Household Cavalry.
The winner of the match will go on to play 4 Rifles in the final of the competition on the 10th September, also at Aldershot – meaning the Brigade of Gurkhas will certainly have a side in the final of the Army Championships, a magnificent feat and another first given cricket’s (so far) relatively minor standing as a sport in the Brigade!
