On the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri, the 260th Army Day of Nepal took place at Sainik Munch,Tudikhel, Kathmandu, Nepal on the 18th of February 2023.
There was impressive display of cultural heritage, sports and military power by 3,495 soldiers from Nepal Army along with The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas and the 11th Gurkha Rifles Band from India. This event was attended by 4,050 guests including several senior officers of the Nepal Army and international defence attaches. The honorary President of federal republic of Nepal, Mrs Bidhya Devi Bhandari was the chief guest of the event, who also presented awards and token of love to all prize Winners and performers.
The musical displays of Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas, Indian Gurkha Band and Nepal Army Band contributed in strengthening the diplomatic relation between three countries. There was also record making performance of playing Madal, a typical Nepalese two headed drums by 555 soldiers of Nepal Army.
