The first of the new batch of Gurkhas for The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles have started to arrive in Brunei. They were greeted by their Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Andrew Todd MBE and other members of the Brunei based Battalion.
The young Gurkhas who successfully completed a different training period in Catterick, Yorkshire (UK) in late November, where the the Gurkha Company Catterick training staff (part of the Infantry Training Centre Catterick, successfully managed to navigate the training through the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions were isolated before being moved out to Brunei, which is currently COVID-19 free.
