1 Royal Gurkha Rifles Nordic Skiing team have been taking part in the Infantry Nordic and Biathlon Championship in Bessans, France.
On 11th January they will continue to the Divisional Championships in Serre Chevalier.
The entire team are beginners but have been proving their determination, marksmanship and fitness on the slopes.
This winter teams from both 1 and 2 Royal Gurkha Rifles have also competed in the Infantry Alpine Ski Race Training Camp and Championships Exercise FROSTED BLADE, a far cry from the heat of Brunei, and a great opportunity for travel and adventure.
