As part of Headquarters Regional Command’s National initiative to support the delivery of the Scouts Mechanics Badge, Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment, through 11 Infantry and Headquarters South East Brigade, supported the delivery of the Scouts Mechanics Badge for local Scouts across Hampshire and Surrey.
One hundred Scouts arrived each day, with an eagerness to meet soldiers and achieve their mechanics badge. There were a total of eight stands, four of which were mechanical such as changing a vehicle wheel and a window wiper, and the other four were an insight into Army life such as Physical Training, Gurkha Drill, Communications and a Mastiff stand. A fantastic weekend which seen all Scouts achieve, and presented with, their badges.
