Regional Command team visit to British Gurkhas Nepal

Brigadier James Coote DSO OBE, Chief of Staff Regional Command, Colonel Richard Hallet OBE and Lieutenant Colonel Edward Paintin constituting the Regional Command (RC) team paid a visit to British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN) Kathmandu and Pokhara between 2nd and 7th November 2021.

The team also met with Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana, ACOS/Directorate of Military Intelligence Nepal Army and Major General Ananda Adhikari, Crisis Management Coordination Centre Nepal during their visit to the Army Headquarters, Nepal Army. The team were hosted by Colonel Paul Smith Commander BGN in Headquarters BGN where General Officer Commanding Regional Command Commendation awards were presented to Sergeant Maheshkumar Wanem and Corporal Khagendra Gurung. The RC team were hosted by Major Philip Lambert Officer Commanding British Gurkhas Pokhara in Pokhara.

The team was hosted by Colonel Paul Smith Commander BGN in Headquarters BGN where General Officer Commanding Regional Command Commendation awards were presented to Sergeant Maheshkumar Wanem and Corporal Khagendra Gurung.

The RC team was hosted by Major Philip Lambert Officer Commanding British Gurkhas Pokhara in Pokhara. Within the visiting team from RC was Maj Andy Blackmore, who only recently left Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas where he was the Chief of Staff for the last two years.
