The Brigade Language Culture Team have just delivered the latest Survival Nepali Language Course from 28th October – 11th December 2020.
The course is normally delivered at British Gurkhas Pokhara, Nepal, but due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the course was delivered at the Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.
The course is a key part of informing and helping British personnel assigned to work in Gurkha units not only about how to speak key elements of the Nepali language but also key cultural aspects. This assists them so they can feel part of the Gurkha teams and units they will be assigned to and have an understanding of our ways and beliefs and help them to be better managers and team members.
