The Life-Changing Journey Of Being Selected As A Gurkha

Selection of Gurkha Recruit Intake 20 has just taken place in Pokhara, Nepal.

10,000 plus young Nepalese men applied for only 432 places and those successful few are now part of the British Army and belong to the Infantry Training Battalion.

An Attestation parade will take place in Pokhara on the 18th February in front of their families and friends and the inspecting Officer will he the Head of the British Army, Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Mark Cartleton-Smith KCB CBE ADC GEN.

This video produced, by Forces TV, gives us an insight into the process and journey these young Nepalese people make and how important it is for them to succeed and become a Gurkha in the British Army.
