The Queen’s Birthday and New Year honours lists recognise the achievements and service of people across the UK, from all walks of life. An honours committee makes recommendations to the Prime Minister and then to The Queen, who awards the honour.

Ms Moore has been employed as the Second in Command and Regimental Careers Management Officer of the Specialist Weapons School Training Support Company in Warminster. She has overseen the transition of 55 UK soldier posts to GURTAM which she successfully managed with no drop in output. She has embraced the Gurkha culture, organised families and sporting events and is commended for being the driving force in fostering a strong and inclusive team.
Mrs Rai has been employed as a senior clerk in the Quartermasters Department (QM) in British Gurkhas Nepal (BGN). She is commended for her extraordinary effort in transitioning the QM Dept from UNICOM to MJDI. Working long hours and using her second language she has made a huge impact and fully deserves recognition for her exceptional commitment and contribution.
Mr Thapa is the Soft Facilities Manager in BGN. He is commended for his incredible achievement in saving the MOD over £0.5M since arriving in post and for his contribution to the wider community and the Civilian Staff Council.
