The School of Infantry Commandant’s Commendation

Corporal Mahendra Rai, The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles has been awarded a Commandant School of Infantry commendation by Colonel A N Hadfield.

The commendation has been awarded in recognition of his outstanding service to the School of Infantry and excellent leadership during the “10 Days Run to Babaji Challenge” which helped to raise more than £2100 in support of NHS during COVID-19.

Furthermore, his contribution has also been exemplary during the Exercise Highland Way – An arduous 174 miles walk in 10 days, which helped to raised £1000 in support of The Gurkha Welfare Trust and ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
