Wives from the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment have successfully completed the 3-Peaks challenge across Yorkshire as part of their training for this year’s Trailwalker 2022.
The ladies decided to show their support to the Gurkha Welfare Trust and will be taking part in this year’s Trailwalker event in September. Starting at Queen Elizabeth Country Park early on Saturday morning, the Trailwalker route takes you along the stunning and historical South Downs Way to the finish line at Brighton Racecourse. You pass through nine checkpoints along the course. The distance between the checkpoints varies from 6km to 13km. Trailwalker is a unique opportunity to put mind, body, and camaraderie to the test and is the ultimate team endurance event. The challenge is to walk, jog or run 100km across the South Downs Way in under 30hrs in a team of four, with a support crew of two members to help you get to the finish line.
Entries are now open for Trailwalker 2022! With a team of four, take on an unforgettable 100km journey in under 30 hours across the South Downs.
Organised in partnership with Oxfam, Trailwalker is the ultimate in long-distance challenges, raising funds for both Oxfam and the GWT. Teams from the Gurkha Regiments lead the charge, but thousands of competitors take part from all age groups and levels of experience.
