Four new Gurkhas from Gurkha Staff and Personnel Support from Intake 23 have graduated on the Service Initial Personnel Administration Course (SIPAC) on the 9th of February 2024, completing seven weeks of intensive course at Worthy Down, Winchester.
Their performance throughout the course was exemplary. Private Anup Manandhar collected two out of five available awards (Overall best student award and best GSPS student award) for his exceptional all-round performance. Similarly, Private Sudir Maharjan was awarded the ‘Captain Peter Taylor’ award for achieving the highest score in academic amongst not only GSPS but the overall course.
Upon completion of the phase of Functional Skill course, they will join the following Units on their first assignment.
- Private Anup Manandhar – The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (1 RGR)
- Private Sudir Maharjan – 1 RGR
- Private Nishan Rai – The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles
- Private Prajwalan Rai – 30 Signal Regiment
