Sergeant Suresh Dewan from Infantry Battle School (IBS) was awarded Regional Command Staff and Personnel Support Coin of Excellence on the 6th of November 2023 by Lieutenant Colonel Desmond Mhere for his outstanding contribution and achievements over the year to the Unit and the Army.
Some of Sergeant Suresh achievements range from running a Mountain Bike Workshop for IBS personnel and families in order to raise charity support for IBS Welfare Department, executing Type 3 Overseas adventure training to Grand Canyon in USA which IBS personnel managed to achieve Summer Mountain Foundation qualification, and additionally deploying as a Climate Assessor to the British Gurkhas Nepal, British Forces South Atlantic Islands and 6 UK Division to conduct Climate Assessment.
