Brigadier Brian Jeffery, Commander 1st (UK) Signal Brigade, accompanied by Major Subaraj Sunuwar (Gurkha Major Queen’s Gurkha Signals), visited the Headquarters Brigade of Gurkhas at Robertson House, Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, on 1 April 2026.
They were warmly welcomed by the Colonel Brigade of Gurkhas and other Headquarters staff.

During the visit, they received a comprehensive update on current developments across the Brigade of Gurkhas. As 1st (UK) Signal Brigade commands 16 Signal Regiment, 22 Signal Regiment, 30 Signal Regiment, and the Gurkha ARRC Support Battalion — all home to significant numbers of Gurkha soldiers, the engagement provided an important opportunity to discuss welfare, operational readiness, and ongoing support to Gurkha personnel.
Before departing, Brigadier Jeffery and Major Sunuwar were given a guided tour of the Headquarters, offering further insight into the Brigade’s heritage, structure, and future priorities.
