Captain Esther Hayes (Royal Corps of Army Music), our esteemed Director of Music, has been bestowed with The Chief of Army Staff Commendation Badge by General Prabhu Ram Sharma, the Chief of Army Staff of the Nepali Army.
This remarkable achievement marks Captain Hayes as the first member of the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas to receive such a distinguished honor, highlighting her exceptional talent and dedication. This recognition is not only rare, but also highly prestigious, showcasing Captain Hayes’ outstanding contributions to the field of military music and support to the Brigade of Gurkhas and Nepal.
Captain Hayes has completed 2 years with the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas and has been extended in assignment for a further 12 months. Her leadership and excellent musicianship has allowed the band to improve and excel. The Band is extremely busy and in high demand around the world.
