Gurkha Veteran Hari Budha Magar has been honoured at the event at the House of Lords for his achievement in creating history as the first double above knee amputee to summit Mount Everest, and for the great work he does for raising charity funds. The event was hosted by General The Lord Richards of Herstmonceux GCB CBE DSO DL.



The event acknowledged the centenary celebration of the 1923 treaty of friendship, 70th anniversary of the first ascent of Mt. Everest and His Majesty the King’s Coronation year.
