A team from Gurkha Staff and Personnel Support (GSPS), led by Staff Sergeant (SSgt) Ajit Gurung, showcased exceptional marksmanship at the Inter-Corps Methuen Cup match held on 2 May 2025. The competition, which took place at Pirbright Ranges from 28 April to 2 May 2025, saw the team comprising six skilled firers:
- SSgt Ajit Gurung (1 Signal Regiment)
- Sergeant Rijan Rai (3 (UK) Division Signal Regiment)
- Corporal Jiwan Garbuja Pun (22 Signal Regiment)
- Corporal Prashant Rai (Infantry Training Centre Catterick)
- Lance Corporal Sandip Gurung (Infantry Training Centre Catterick)
- Private Tej Bahadur Gaha (3 (UK) Division Signal Regiment)
Corporal Jiwan Garbuja Pun assigned to 22 Signal Regiment), emerged as the Adjutant Generals Corps (AGC) Champion Shot 2025, earning accolades for his outstanding performance in both rifle and pistol categories. His remarkable achievements includes Rifle Top Shot, Pistol Top Shot, and Fire Team Winner.
During the presentation ceremony, he was honoured by being lifted on the in the prestigious Corps top shot chair and carried around by fellow AGC personnel.
