The teams gathered to register, take on food, and in some cases set up camps for the night on the Friday evening at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. The site was buzzing with anticipation. The event began before sunrise on Saturday morning with the first teams taking to the start line at 0600hrs, filled with adrenaline and excitement for the challenge ahead.

Well done to all who took part, raising money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust. Established in 1969, they provide vital support to Gurkha veterans, their families and communities in Nepal. They enable people to live with dignity by delivering essential financial and medical aid and work with local communities to provide access to clean water and education. They operate through 19 Area Welfare Centres spread across traditional Gurkha recruiting areas in Nepal as well as one in India.
