Gurkha Wing (Mandalay) marched through the streets of Brecon for the Freedom Parade on Sunday the 11th of June. Gurkha Wing (Mandalay) is part of the Infantry Battle School based in Brecon. The Gurkhas have been a part of the Brecon community for many years, with many choosing to settle in the town on retirement from the British Army. The parade was supported by The Band of the Brigade of the Gurkhas and pipers from The Royal Gurkha Rifles, plus military wives performed cultural dances in the streets. The parade commander was Captain Bel Bahadur Gurung.
