Personnel from The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, attended the first anniversary celebrations of the installation of a Gurkha Monument at the Purfleet Heritage Centre in Purfleet. The Gurkha Monument is a special and unique tribute that was unveiled last year and was established by the Thurrock Nepalese Gurkha Community.
