On 12 September 2025, the Royal Artillery Mess at Larkhill hosted a distinguished dinner evening to formally dine in the first Commander of The King’s Gurkha Artillery (KGA), Lieutenant Colonel Michael Fletcher, and the first Gurkha Major, Major Lalitbahadur Gurung, accompanied by their good ladies.
The event was attended by Officers, Warrant Officers, Senior Non-Commissioned Officers, and family members from both the KGA and 14 Regiment Royal Artillery.

Following tradition, the honoured guests were ceremonially welcomed and presented with a garland and bouquet in KGA colours. The evening was a celebration of heritage, unity, and mutual respect, reflecting the enduring bond between the Royal Artillery and KGA, and the vital role families play in supporting the regimental community.
