The Infantry Battle School (IBS) hosted a charity event at the Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess in support of the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team (BMRT). BMRT is a volunteer-led emergency service that responds to more than 100 callouts annually, providing critical assistance to individuals who are injured or lost in challenging and remote terrain.
In addition to raising funds for this vital local service, the event aimed to strengthen community spirit and enhance cohesion within IBS Brecon.

Hundreds of service personnel attended the event, along with four representatives from BMRT. The programme also included a series of briefs and presentations delivered by both IBS and BMRT personnel. Corporal Bibek and his team prepared a Gurkha curry lunch, and with excellent coordination and teamwork, this ensured the event ran smoothly.
Overall, the event provided a valuable opportunity to demonstrate our support for these local volunteers while further reinforcing community ties and cohesion within IBS Brecon.
