The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles, Combat Service Support (CASSINO) Company, Communications and Information Systems Platoon, has successfully completed the Infantry Platoon Radio Operator Cadre (IPROC) 2503, conducted from 5 to 23 January 2026.


This specialised cadre is designed to train, develop, and certify highly capable radio operators who can provide reliable, secure, and tactically effective communications within infantry platoons. The programme focuses on enhancing technical proficiency, tactical understanding, procedural accuracy, and operational awareness ensuring that operators can maintain critical communications in both training and combat environments.


Throughout the course, all participating soldiers demonstrated professionalism, determination, and a strong commitment to mastering communication procedures, operating a range of radio and digital communication systems, and delivering effective tactical signal support.
Special congratulations goes to Rifleman Devid Tamang (A Company) for achieving the top student award, a testament to his outstanding performance and dedication.
