Exercise JUNGLE GURUJI was a two-week training programme designed to introduce personnel from The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (2 RGR) to operations in the Close Country Tropical Environment (Jungle). The training was delivered to each Company on a rotational basis, running from 25 August to 26 September 2025.
The exercise was led by the Operations Warrant Officer of 2 RGR and the Company Sergeant Major of C Company, with support from Jungle Warfare Instructors drawn from across the Battalion. The training ensures that all troops are equipped with essential skills for operating in dense, tropical terrain.
