The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles has won the Defence Operational Shooting Competition 2024 held at Bisley, UK. A fantastic team performance with many section prizes won along the way.
Lance Corporal Nischal Thapa secured the Top Shot prize and won His Majesty the King’s Medal for the second time in a row.
The team was led by Captain Sunil Kumar Gurung managed to win 9 out of 12 matches in the competitions. Lance Corporal Milan Buduja Pun came second, and Rifleman Bikram Rai secured fourth overall.
A very proud moment for The Royal Gurkha Rifles.
