Personnel from The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles (2 RGR) were honoured to take part in commemorations marking the 60th Anniversary of the Borneo Confrontation in Brunei.
The occasion paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Rifleman Ram Bahadur Limbu VC, whose exceptional courage during the campaign continues to inspire generations of Gurkha soldiers.
The event offered an opportunity to meet veterans of the conflict. Their first‑hand accounts of service, hardship and comradeship alongside Gurkhas reaffirmed the pride, values and traditions that remain central to the Brigade of Gurkhas today.
