All Arms Pre-Parachute Selection Course Success for New Gurkhas

10 new Gurkhas, who recently completed their training at the Infantry Training Centre in Catterick, have passed the All Arms Pre-Parachute Selection Course. This is part of their training journey as they have joined The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles in Shorncliffe, UK, who are part of the British Army’s 16 Air Assault Brigade, Combat Team.

16 Air Assault Brigade are specially trained and equipped to deploy by parachute, helicopter and air-landing. Its core role is to maintain the Air Assault Task Force, a battlegroup held at high readiness to deploy worldwide for a full spectrum of missions, from non-combatant evacuation ops to war fighting.
