The Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas delivered a short-term training to the three Directors of Music Lieutenant Colonel Dinesh Sunam Nepali Army Band, Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhula Raj Khanal, Nepal Police Band, and Assistant Sub-Inspector Ramesh Nepali from Armed Police Force Band in March 2024. Led by our Assistant Director of Music, Captain Sunil Gurung LRSM, the training session encompassed band conducting, music arranging, western music history, and context.

Although a brief visit, the team seized the opportunity to visit significant historical places in London, including the Nepal Embassy London, plus the Headquarters Royal Corps of Army Music at Minley, and The Alford Schools of Military Music in Portsmouth. They also visited the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. It was a great privilege to host and train them for the first time in our band’s history.
