36 new Riflemen from Recruit Intake 2023 arrived In Brunei with The First Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles. On arrival they had a three-day program of activities to help the Riflemen understand the rich traditions and culture of Brunei, Exercise PAHILO KADAM. The exercise was led by Corporal Mahendra Rai and Corporal Nabinchandra Rai.
On the first day, the Riflemen explored the local towns of Seira and Kaula Belait. The second day was dedicated to visiting Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital city of Brunei. Here the Riflemen got a glimpse of the city’s history and culture. On the final day they were engaged in fun sports and relaxation, with traditional messing. The programme allowed the young Riflemen the opportunity to experience the country’s vibrant culture and heritage.
