A mixed Troop of 70 Gurkha Parachute Squadron deployed under 23 Parachute Engineer Regiment to Support Exercise PEGASUS AMARANTE, along with the personnel from the French Army and Omani Army.
They have constructed 25 x mobile urban training facilities at four different villages and houses in the Training Area outside of the Airfield, for the Exercise. Additional evaluating personnel handling facilities were also constructed in support of 1 Royal Irish Regiment, during the Exercise.
Despite being extremely busy the Troop managed to celebrate Dashain together with serving personnel from the Queen’s Own Gurkha Logistic Regiment and The Second Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles.
